Pop Bands and their Emergence to the Limelight(POP SONGS and Rock Pop)
Pop music is usually known as the music made especially for the youth market; it is basically composed of relatively short, simple songs that use innovations to produce new sounds and variations based on existing themes. It has influences that came from other forms but is most particularly associated with rock and roll and alternative music. Upon its arrival in the limelight during the 60’s, The Rolling Stone; an English rock band, formed in London in April 1962, ever since dominated the scene and created a name for itself. But the group was not alone; along side with them was the emergence of another English rock band called the Beatles; which on the other hand paved its way to the limelight from playing at gigs across the United Kingdom.
The two bands went a long way with their musical journey, up to now the two pop and/or rock and roll bands; as most critics would say share the title of the most successful and the most critically acclaimed act in the history of pop music.
Greatest Pop Songs
The Beatles and the Rolling Stones had their share of the limelight and has proven their names in the face of popular music.
And ever since these bands ruled the charts for almost four decades, the Rolling Stones have released more than two dozen albums, including several greatest hits mixes, and they’ve had numerous top-selling singles such as Angie, Miss you, Sympathy for the Devil, Satisfaction and You Can’t Always Get what you want – just to name a few of their best songs.
The Beatles on the other hand, was able to release 27 studio albums and 57 compilations.
With the hit singles like; Hey Jude, Let it Be, Come Together, Blackbird, A Hard Day’s Night – just to mention a few of the 217 tracks that the Beatles produced.
Rock Pop in the 21st Century
With the dominance of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, many of today’s “rock” bands would die just to experience the limelight and the stardom that these bands went through.
With the changing preferences of the industry and the market Rock Pop is still alive in bands like Maroon 5, Panic at the Disco, 30 Seconds to Mars and many more.
Despite the standard raised by the music industry these bands never fail to deliver their message to the masses, a message that’s enough to prove that popular music is on the go and Rock and Roll is still alive and kicking the hearts out of every music lover.
